Mechanic

The Town of Conception Bay South invites applications for the position of Mechanic in its Engineering and Public Works Department.

UNIONIZED POSITION
Permanent Full-Time – 40 Hours per Week

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

This position reports directly to the Superintendent of Public Works and will perform related work as per the job description.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Applicants must possess a Journeyperson’s Certificate as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic with a minimum of five years active and current experience in the field is required. A Journeyperson’s Certificate as a gasoline engine mechanic with experience in fuel injection and small engine repair is also a requirement.
• Any combination of education and experience may be considered.

Applications must include a copy of official educational documents confirming education requirements.   The successful applicant must provide an acceptable Certificate of Conduct and Drivers Abstract prior to commencement.
