About our presenters:
Julia Klann is the leader of US Tax group for KPMG’s Eastern Region and has over 12 years’ experience assisting both corporate and personal clients with US and cross-border tax issues.  Julia leads a team of over 40 professionals who practice exclusively in US & Cross-Border taxes, working both with corporations and individuals with respect to US tax compliance and planning. A graduate of the University of Waterloo’s Master of Accounting program, Julia is a Canadian trained CPA, CA.  Julia also holds her US CPA designation and a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University.  Julia also sits on the Board of Directors at Nutrition for Learning in Kitchener-Waterloo and teaches an introduction to US Taxation course at the University of Waterloo.

Janice Connors is a Senior Manager at KPMG in St. John's and she is a senior resource in the US and Cross-Border Tax Services practice in Atlantic Canada.  She has 15 years’ experience assisting both corporate and personal clients to manage US exposures and compliance. Janice has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Saint Mary’s University and is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS.  She is Vice Chair of Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters Eastern Newfoundland and President of the Kiwanis Music Festival in St. John’s. Janice works in KPMG’s St. John’s office located at TD Place, 140 Water Street, Suite 1001.
