CPPIB Invests for Canadians: Here’s How

Anthony Germaine, host of CBC's Here and Now, will lead the Fireside Chat and an Audience Q&A session with Mark Machin, President and CEO, CPPIB.

Session to begin at 11:30 a.m. and will follow with Mr. Machin delivering a few remarks and the Fireside Chat and Q&A session following. Lunch will be served at 12:45 p.m.


Canadians' knowledge of their retirement system is low – which can lead to inertia in retirement planning.  Yet, with one of the 10 largest retirement funds in the world – the Canada Pension Plan Fund – Canadians should be proud and confident in their retirement planning. The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board exists to manage the CPP Fund, and today invests an over $300 billion Fund across 45 countries in public & private equity, infrastructure and real estate. Mark Machin will discuss CPPIB’s investment strategy, global outlook and its role in helping ensure the CPP will be there for generations to come.
