The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador recently announced two new procurement strategies designed to support local suppliers and promote sustainability in procurement practices:
The Newfoundland and Labrador First Procurement Strategy aims to maximize opportunities for provincial suppliers by maintaining provincial preference discounts, increasing open call thresholds, and providing training sessions for new suppliers, offering increased access to government contracts and fostering growth within our province.
The Sustainable Procurement Strategy aligns with broader social, environmental, and economic goals, ensuring our purchasing practices contribute to a sustainable future and strengthening the relationship between local businesses and the Provincial Government.
Do you know how to navigate these new strategies to benefit your business?
Join us on Wednesday, March 13th for Procurement Pathways, featuring the Honourable John Abbott, Minister Responsible for the Public Procurement Agency and learn how to position your business to secure government contracts. Chief Procurement Officer, Heather Tizzard, will also be available to answer questions.
