Historically, businesses in St. John’s have not “looked north”, nor taken advantage of the trade and business opportunities that exist in Labrador and the Arctic. Because of the amount of interest paid to Labrador, northern Quebec and Nunavut by international companies, the need for businesses in St. John’s to become involved in northern opportunities is urgent and important.
The St. John’s Board of Trade will host the Opportunities North 2016 Conference that will concentrate on economic development and practical solutions for succeeding in the north.
