DESCRIPTION:A number of major forces have the potential to transform "work as we know it" in Canada - from large scale automation to demographic shifts to immigration to climate change. While the "rest of Canada is booming" as one CBC headline put it\, populations on the East Coast are largely in decline. Workers are getting older\, young people are moving away\, families are shrinking\, and immigrants are heading for the big cities.
