The evening's centrepiece features world-renowned cellist St phane T treaultin Prokofiev's brilliant Symphonie Concertante\, op. 125 a virtuosic tour-de-force that's equal parts elegance and electricity. Then\, prepare to be dazzled by Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition\, in the shimmering orchestration by Ravel a vivid\, musical stroll through an imaginary art gallery that bursts with character and drama. To top it all off\, the Calos Youth Orchestra joins the NSO on stage for a powerful side-by-side performance bringing the next generation of talent into the spotlight.
