SUMMARY:Mindful Moments Series: Part 2 - Leaves on a Stream
DESCRIPTION:Gardiner Centre cares about the well-being of our clients and wishes to help you and your family cope more effectively during this crisis.\n\n\n\nTomorrow\, Gardiner Center will be offering the next 15-minute guided mindfulness sessions in the Mindful Moments series. These free sessions will be broadcast over Facebook live and led by Gardiner Centre instructor\, and Positive Psychology coach\, Jennifer Kelly.\n\nDuring this tumultuous period\, maintaining social distancing is not the only challenge we face it's also a challenge to distance ourselves from anxiety and stress.\n\nUnpredictability\, changes in behavioural norms and loss of routine can lead to significant inner turmoil. Although we cannot control what is happening\, our own thoughts and behaviours are still very much rooted in our control. Mindfulness has been proven in Positive Psychology research to be an effective strategy to manage anxious thoughts and cultivate positive behaviours.\n\n\nThese weekly mindfulness sessions will offer you and your family a reprieve from daily stressors and will help you manage anxiety through breathing\, visualization\, and meditation.\n\nSee you tomorrow!
